FRANCE FLASHBACK PART 2: CÔTE D'AZUR
Happy Monday everyone! I had hoped to get this post out at the end of last week but things happen!
So here is Part 2 of our France trip over Labor Day 2017. If you missed Part 1, you can check it out HERE.
The majority of our trip was spent in the French Riviera, staying at an airbnb in Cannes and exploring nearby Antibes and St Tropez. We took a train from Paris to Cannes (5.5 hours and a beautiful view the entire time!) Our airbnb was in the heat of Le Suquet, the old quarter of Cannes, and I absolutely fell in love with that area. The cobblestone streets and hills were so alive with people and had the best cozy vibes. We walked around the streets at night, and enjoyed pasta and seafood at some of the sidewalk restaurants for dinner. We ate lunch at Cristal Beach, a beach restaurant/bar in Cannes, the first day when we arrived. One day we took a train over to Antibes (only 8 minutes away!) We had lunch at Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc - amazing view, incredible seafood, and the most beautiful hotel pool I’ve ever seen. It was extremely pricey but I would recommend it for a one in a lifetime experience. After lunch we hiked the rocky Cap D’Antibes coastline. It’s a little over 3 miles and fairly easy, and definitely the most beautiful hike I’ve ever done in my life! Do NOT miss this if you visit Antibes! We also spent a day in St Tropez (a short ferry ride from Cannes) and went to Nikki Beach St Tropez for their all you can eat brunch buffet. We spent the afternoon eating seafood and sipping rosé. I wished we could have explored St Tropez a little more and made it to Monaco, Nice, and some other towns in the South of France, but until next time!
